For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction
Beans was named the All-Metro Coach of the Year by the Baltimore Sun. In 2007 the Sun once again recognized Beans this time as its All-Anne Arundel County Coach of the Year. He has coached numerous all-metro athletes, including the 2004 Maryland Gatorade Player of the Year and current Coppin State junior, Kanishia Sheppard.
