Shai Ambar
Shai is a very strong guard who shines on the defensive end of the court. Although he has great range on his shot and he is a great 3pt shooter his contribution on defense is much more substantial. Shai is a tough defensive proposition for opponents. Defensively is capable of guarding bigger opponents and he knows to apply his overall court smarts to defend smaller quicker guards. Excellent on-ball defender on the perimeter gets down low and slides his feet well. He is the designated stopper on Defense, regularly holding the opposing team's number one threat to far less than average input. He sees the court well and has a high basketball IQ. He picks up structure quickly and also recognizes opportunities to exploit within the team structure. He is not a flashy or selfish player. He much rather make the smart play.
Shai played in several leagues in Israel and gained experience competing against older players in various tournaments and basketball camps.
